Launch of New Human Rights Education Documentary Film
On December 11, a new documentary film titled “Changemakers: Stories of Young Human Rights Educators” was launched at the UN Office at Geneva, Switzerland. The documentary features the stories of seven young human rights educators and the positive contributions of youth to the realization of human rights in their communities. It was jointly developed by Amnesty International, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and the SGI (Soka Gakkai International). The documentary’s launch was part of a two-day event marking the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Speakers at the launch event included some of the human rights educators featured in the film.
