Further Donations in Response to Türkiye-Syria Earthquake

On February 9, Taiwan Soka Association donated NT$3 million (US$97,041) to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, contributing to emergency humanitarian assistance for those affected by the recent 7.8-magnitude earthquake that devastated parts of Türkiye and Syria. On February 13, Soka Gakkai Singapore donated the sum of S$50,000 (US$36,892) to the Singapore Red Cross for the same purpose. On February 15, Soka Gakkai Malaysia donated RM30,000 (US$6,640) via the Türkiye and Syria Earthquake Emergency Relief Fund established by the International Islamic University of Malaysia. On March 6, the Soka Gakkai in Japan donated one million yen (US$7,303) to the emergency humanitarian aid organization Japan Platform, and subsequently donated two million yen (US$14,606) and one million yen respectively to the Japan Association for the World Food Programme and the Association for Aid and Relief, Japan.
