New Leadership Appointments in Hong Kong, Macau and Thailand

On December 1, SGI of Hong Kong (HKSGI) and SGI-Macau held general meetings at which new leadership appointments were announced. HKSGI appointed Ngan Sai Fong as general director, Wong Kit Man as women’s division chief and Ng John Chor Yuk as honorary general director. SGI-Macau appointed Iu Kam Pui as men’s leader and Tam Mei Ieng as women’s leader.

On December 8, Soka Gakkai Thailand (SGT) also held a general meeting attended by Soka Gakkai President Minoru Harada, SGI Vice General Director Shinji Shimizu and representatives from India, Malaysia and Singapore. At the meeting, Kazuhiko Banno was appointed as SGT chairperson, succeeding Somsak RikidJariyanon, who was appointed as chairperson of the Advisory Council.
