Florence City Dedicates Piazza to President Daisaku Ikeda

On April 13, a ceremony was held for the unveiling of the Piazza Daisaku Ikeda in Florence, Italy. Florence City Council passed a formal resolution to officially name the piazza (square) after President Daisaku Ikeda in recognition of his contributions to human rights and humanitarian causes. During the ceremony, Florence Mayor Dario Nardella commended President Ikeda’s dedication to peacebuilding and commitment to empowering young people. The event was attended by some 500 people, including members of Florence City Council, Soka Gakkai Italy members and local residents.
