Soka Gakkai Donates to UNHCR in Support of Refugees

On August 24, the Soka Gakkai donated five million yen (US$45, 490) to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) toward supporting COVID-19 measures at refugee camps. The ceremony was held at the Soka Gakkai Headquarters in Tokyo and was attended by UNHCR Japan Representative Karen Farkas and Dr. Akihiko Tanaka, chairman of the board of Japan for UNHCR.
