Soka Amazon Institute Joins Climate Change Event

On November 10, Tais Tokusato from the Soka Gakkai-affiliated Soka Amazon Institute near Manaus, Brazil, joined an online event titled “Hope for the Future” organized by the Interfaith Liaison Committee to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). She introduced the institute’s environmental education activities and its “Life Memorial” project that plants a tree in honor of each victim of COVID-19 in Brazil.
