Buddhist Study Courses and Exams Held Around the World

Buddhist study exams were held in Europe and Asia in May. On May 12, SGI-UK conducted exams at 70 venues with some 450 members participating. Study exams were also held in  Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden. In South Korea, over 6,000 members took an elementary level exam on June 9, and in Japan, some 60,000 people across the country took an introductory level exam on June 16. Additionally, SGI-Portugal members attended a Buddhist study course in Sesimbra in the south of the country from May 25 to 26, and SGI-Philippines hosted a study conference with lectures by SGI Vice Study Department Leader Kenichi Otsu from June 8 to 9.
