Peace Festival Held in Asunción

On October 12, Soka Gakkai of Paraguay held a peace festival at its culture center in Asunción, the country’s capital. Over 450 people joined the event that featured dance and musical performances by youth. During the event, donations of nonperishable food were collected for children in need. For several months prior to the event and as part of initiatives supporting the sustainable development goals (SDGs), Soka Gakkai of Paraguay members held collection drives gathering cans and plastic bottles for recycling. The “Seeds of Hope & Action: Making the SDGs a Reality” exhibition, a joint initiative of the Earth Charter International and the SGI (Soka Gakkai International), was also shown at the culture center.
