Soka Gakkai Youth in Japan Hold Climate Seminar

On January 28, Soka Gakkai youth in Japan hosted an online seminar on climate change. President of the Soka Amazon Institute, Edison Akira Sato, and his colleagues spoke about the institute’s initiatives, which include environmental education for children, research collaboration with universities, preservation of native species seed, planting activities and reforestation projects. They also introduced the “Life Memorial” project to plant a tree in honor of each Brazilian victim of COVID-19.
